BLUE MARLIN WORLD CUP RESULTS | Congrats to Pelagic Pro Team Captain’s, Marty Bates & Olaf Grimkowski, with mates, Elton Lopes Fortes & Christiaan Kruger, on winning the 2020 Blue Marlin World Cup! Fishing out of Cape Verde Islands (Africa), the 4-man team aboard LA ONDA MILA boated a 964-lb. blue marlin to top the 116-boat worldwide tournament field. This is the fifth largest fish weighed in tournament history dating back to 1985.⁠⠀

Reeling in second place while also securing the “Big Blue Challenge” optional jackpot was team DONE DEAL. Fishing the Gulf of Mexico out of Venice (Louisiana), Captain Jason Buck with angler Wilks Hammock secured a 667.2-lb. blue marlin to win the big money jackpot.⁠⠀
